[NES Style Test (Loop)]

Sounds like Nintendo alight.

Well, basically all you need to do is get an NES emulator that can make WAV dumps or maybe Setup your mic to record the audio on your computer (WAV dumps are easier), then open any ROM, turn off all but one of the audio channels (Pulse 1, Triangle, etc.), record only a few seconds of anything and then import the WAV into Fuity Loops as a Sliced Beat. Restart Fruity Loops, then go into the Sliced Beats folder in the Browser and pick one of the parts to put in a channel, which basically turns that small clip into a whole insturment for you. That's about all you need to know, really. Just talk to me on AIM or something if you're still confused. By the ways, you're songs kick ass ;)

God I loved that bassline. Too bad you used drill_nb, which just happens to blow. If you wouldn't mind telling me what instruments and settings you used for the bass, that'd be awesome.

YEA I love my own bassline as well. It's like Freud's shit creation theory. We're (men) secretly proud of our shits because we created them. I think Freud is a fucking moron, but hey the creation theory proves true for me and my songs. I agree man, I despise drill_nb, why I used it I have no idea! I got really lazy on the drums and decided to just edit drill_nb instead of creating new sounds. Hmm, the instruments I used? Mwahahaha. Sure I'll tell you!

The bass is just a modified sytrus patch called Bass - Orbital. I used the Buzz Effect Generator on it twice actually, one with the FSM Phatman preset, modified to phase and pan slowly left to right, and the other with the oomek exciter. don't remember the preset I used on that. And there she is! a little tweaking on the EQ and that's all I did to it. Have fun! Don't take this personally, but...

The track lacked a polish that many people who come here seek. The piece sounded just like a whole bunch of synths mashed together and it could've been better.

If you want to make a successful track, try and make the drums more prominent and don't forget to seperate certain melodies so that they don't clash. Since Rock seems to be what you submit most, I'm guessing you aren't that into electronic music. So just stick to the rock. The rock is alright.

Try messing around with filters and seperating parts of the track so they don't jumble.

The reason for the lack of quality in this track is that i really did not put any effort into it. It sounded sorta "ok", so i submitted it.

God, I can't stand drill_nb. Anything else woulda been great. The overall composure of the song was fine though. :D
